Origin

There is about 20 species of daylilies. These are the base for all the numerous hybrids.

Flowering

Very dark red flowers.

A distinct pale line on each of the upper petals.

Yellow throat.

2007: New this year. Flowered 27th of July.

2008: No flowers.

2009: Flowered 26th of July.

2010: Flowered 29th of July.

2011: Flowered 28th of July.

Growth and care

'Chicago Blackout' grows to about 80 cm. in height.
