There is about 20 species of daylilies. These are the base for all the numerous hybrids.

Pale purple flowers.

Green eye.

2006: New this year. No flowers.

2007: Flowered 19th of July.

2008: Flowered 13th of July.

2009: No flowers.

2010: Flowered 14th of July.

2011: Flowered 13th of July.

Growth and care

'Whimsical' grows to about 70 cm. in height.
