The Bearded Irises has their name after the beards on the flowers lower petals.

Dwarf Bearded Irises grows to 40 cm. in height.

Flowering

Dark lilac colour.

Lilac beards.

2006: New this year. No flowers.

2007: Flowered 25th of May. Moved this autumn.

2008: Flowered 30th of August.

2009: Flowered 14th of May.

2010: No flowers.

2011: Flowered 16th of May.

Growth and care

Grows to about 30 cm. in height.

It should be re-planted every few years to maintain a good flowering.

Can re-flower in autumn.
