Origin |
- The
modern roses are the roses belonging to groups who appeared after
the year 1867. The
"first" modern rose 'La France' was introduced this year.
- In this group of shrub roses we
find all the roses bred from the start of 19. century and not fit into
any of the other groups. This is a very large group.

Flowering |
- Round, double flowers.
- The colour is orange to scarlet
red.
- Good
re-flowering.
- No scent.

- 2005: Froze totally down during
winter. Got flowers late autumn.
- 2006: Flowered 7th of
July.
- 2007:
Flowered 4th of July.

- 2009: Moved
this summer. Flowered 14th of July.
- 2010:

Growth and care |
- Scandinavian zone H-3/4.
- Up to 2 meters in
height.
- Cut the oldest branches
down to 20 - 30 cm. every few years. Weak branches is removed totally.
Besides this the plant need very little pruning.
