Origin |
- The
modern roses are the roses belonging to groups who appeared after
the year 1867. The
"first" modern rose 'La France' was introduced this year.
- During hybridization work with
multiflora climbers, some plants became low
growing and small flowered instead of climbers. These roses and
hybrids of them makes the polyantha group.
