Origin	The modern roses are the roses belonging to groups who appeared after the year 1867. The "first" modern rose 'La France' was introduced this year. This group consists of hybrids of Rosa rugosa.
Flowering	Semi double flowers. dark crimson colour. Good re-flowering.
	2011: New this year. flowered 24th of June. 2012:
Growth and care	Scandinavian zone H-7. Up to 1,5 meters in height. Many thorns. Cut the oldest branches down to 20 - 30 cm. every few years. Weak branches is removed totally. Besides this the plant need very little pruning.
